CONGU Unified Handicapping System

Players are reminded of their obligations under the above system

Clause 8.8:

“Ensure that all competition cards in Qualifying Competitions, whether or not complete, are returned to the organizing Committee, and make such computer entries as may be required.”

Note: Players who continually disregard this obligation may be subject to exclusion from following competition(s).

Clause 8.12:

…“In Ireland players and clubs must report to Home Clubs:

(a) all qualifying and non qualifying scores including team events.

(b) all scores which equal or better the Standard Scratch Score from Society Golf played over a course for which the Union has
     allotted a SSS together with notification of the SSS.”

Rules of Golf and Local Rules

Rules of Golf and local rules shall be strictly enforced.  Members should acquaint themselves with all Rules before using the course.

Members and visitors are reminded of their obligation to avoid slow play at all times.

On The Tee

Teeing of is permitted at 1st tee only. During Friday mixers , those taking part are required to alternate with non-competitors when using the 2nd hole as their finishing hole. Those playing a non-competitive 9 holes and who use the 2nd or 18th as their final hole must give way to those playing in a competition or must alternate with other players using these holes.

Course Notices:

Members are expected to read and abide by course notices placed by the Greens and/or Competitions Committees.

Practising

Practising is prohibited on any part of the course other than on designated practice areas.
